Help an Eagle Earn His Wings
Our Wolves’ Den Chief, Grant, is doing his Eagle project tomorrow, November 5, 2016. It’s from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Beaumont Baptist Church at 8319 Independence Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri 64125. We will be putting together a fence with zip ties to keep deer from eating fruit trees in a community garden. If you’d like to join us, please be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothes, including long pants, closed-toe shoes, and work gloves (if you have them).
Help Our Pack With Its Annual Service Project
Every fall, we rake leaves as a service project. Scouts and their parents are needed for at least one 2-hour shift. We are raking leaves for members of our charter organization, Valley View United Methodist, who have had recent injuries or if their health limits their ability. We will be raking leaves from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 19, 2016.

Our next meeting is coming up this Friday, November 4, in the Pawnee Cafeteria. Come early, if you can, for the Bear Cubs Carnival at 6:30.
- Popcorn orders will be passed out at the meeting. Make sure to have space in your vehicle for all of your orders!
- We’ll be handing out awards for our top salesmen in each den and the pack overall. The top salesman in each den and for the pack overall will receive a trophy. The top two salesmen in each den will get to put whipped cream in the face of the leader of their choice.
- Our Weeblos are leading a glass recycling project–please bring clean, non-broken glass to recycle!
- We’re having our annual food drive–the den who brings the most items wins a pizza party! The reigning champions have bridged up to Boy Scouts, so the competition is WIDE OPEN!!
We’ll see you on Friday!

We hope everyone has had an awesome summer!!!
Our first pack meeting is this Friday, August 19th, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Strang Park behind the Central Resource Library. Bring chairs and water; don’t wear your Class As (i.e. blue or khaki shirt with patches).
See you Friday!!
Annual Health & Medical Record
Everyone who attends camp–this includes parents, scouts, and tots–must complete Parts A & B of the Annual Health & Medical Record. You can access an editable .pdf (i.e. a .pdf where you can type in the blanks) on the Council Web site at http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_ABC.pdf
The Tot Lot
Although the Tot Lot is traditionally reserved for Staff (those working as part of the program), they do try to accommodate others that would not be able to help their Pack because of a younger child. Staff do have priority.
The cost is $25 for the week. A health form is required for all tots, and the tots must be out of diapers. Girls 10-14ish tend to be helpers rather than tots.
